The UFU ACT Branch, representing the industrial and professional interests of career firefighters in the ACT, has made a submission to the ACT Government advocating some high priority initiatives for funding in the 2018-19 Budget.
These cover issues such as the recruitment of firefighters to address shortages, the purchase of a new pumper-aerial appliance, building of a new city fire station, and the purchase of modern personal protection equipment to ensure the fire safety of firefighters.
